While browsing the internet it is really frustrating to get the error – ‘DNS Probe Finished No Internet’ error. In case you face the same issue there are solutions explained in this article that would help you.
Use Command Prompt
Using command line can also help you solve this error.
Open – windows command prompt. You can do is by typing cmd in search box and then press – enter.
After the command prompt opens up just type or copy & paste the code given below
netsh winsock reset
Just press –Enter and restart your PC. This would solve the issue. Hopefully it will solve the issue.
In case the above solution doesn’t work then your IP address can also be the reason for connection issue and can renew the IP which can resolve the error. Simply open- command prompt once again and type –ipconfig /release and press enter.
Again type – ipconfig /renew and press- enter
Next you can try to flush DNS and it would solve the problem.
Open – command prompt and type – ipconfig /flushdns and press – enter hit enter.
After running all the commands mentioned above just restart your PC.
Alter NS Address to Open DNS
You can change the automatically fetched DNS server address simply to Open DNS.
Just right click on the network icon and click – ‘Network and Sharing Center’.
Then search for –‘Local Area Connection’ and simply click it.
Next, click on -‘Properties’ from the new window
Now select – Internet Protocol Version 4 and press – Properties one more time.
From new window choose the radio button named as – ‘Use the following DNS server addresses’ and then in the box – preferred DNS server box, just type – 184.108.40.206 in the alternate DNS server box.
Type in 220.127.116.11 and check the box named as – ‘Validate settings upon exit’ then hit – OK.
It will change the DNS server address of your PC to -Open DNS which is the best DNS server available.
Clearing Cache, Reinstalling the browser
Clearing Cache (in Chrome )
To clear cache from Google chrome browser, just click the button –Customize and control button and then click -Settings.
Scroll down to click – Show Advanced Settings.
Under the section – Privacy, click – Clear Browsing Data.
From the new window, just check the box labelled as – Cookies and Other site and Plugin Data, ached Images and Files, Next, click -Clear browsing data.
Checking – Firewall & Internet Security Settings
There are possibilities that either of firewall/ internet security software is responsible for blocking some sites just for some security reasons. Remember, you should check the settings of firewall and internet security software and check if they are resulting in the error.
Uninstall Website Filtering Software
In case there is website filtering software installed on your system then just uninstall/disable it. After uninstalling or disabling it just browse the sites that were showing up error, so that you know if the error has been rectified or not.
